Throwback Thursday 🤍

Oh my goodness… look at those babies! And I’m not just talking about Ally.

This portrait was created when Ally was just 7 days old, and somehow it feels like yesterday and a lifetime ago all at the same time.

This is exactly why we believe so deeply in portraits. At the time, you’re simply trying to remember those tiny fingers, sleepy newborn snuggles, and the way an older sibling looked at the newest member of the family. But years later, that portrait becomes something completely different.

It becomes a piece of your family’s story.

The days really do go by faster than we think. I’m so thankful we have this little moment frozen in time forever.

Who else looks back at pictures of their babies and wonders, “How in the world did we get here so fast?”

🐾 It’s National Dog Day… so obviously the dogs get the spotlight today!

Around here, we know the family portrait isn’t always complete with just the humans. Sometimes the one who steals the show has four legs, a wagging tail, and absolutely NO intention of cooperating unless treats are involved.

And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

We love when families include their dogs in their portraits because they aren’t “just pets.” They’re the ones greeting you at the door, following you from room to room, curling up beside you at the end of the day…and somehow managing to take up 90% of the bed.

They’re family.

So in honor of National Dog Day, tell us…

What’s your dog’s name AND what’s the funniest thing they do? We want to hear about them!

Some family members just happen to have four legs.

When you’re thinking about your family portraits, don’t forget the furbabies who are right there in the middle of everyday life with you.

They greet you at the door, curl up beside you at the end of the day, follow you from room to room…and somehow manage to become such a big part of your family’s story.

We absolutely LOVE when families include their pets in their portrait session. Because years from now, you’ll be so thankful you have a beautiful portrait that reminds you of this season—and the furry little face that made it even sweeter.

They aren’t “just a pet.” **They’re family too.**

Would your furbaby cooperate for a family portrait…or completely steal the show?

Anyone else loving all the back-to-school and college pictures filling up their feed right now?! I know I am! There’s just something about seeing everyone stepping into a brand-new season.

And with all those snapshots being shared, we just had to pull out this beautiful portrait of one of our Clemson University graduates!

She was an absolute sweetheart, and we loved getting to celebrate such a HUGE milestone with her. College graduation is one of those moments that deserves to be remembered; not just with a quick snapshot on your phone, but with a portrait that will still mean something years from now.

Congratulations again, sweet girl! We know there are some pretty amazing things ahead for you!

There is just something so special about the bond between a brother and sister.

I absolutely love how this Masterpiece Painted Portrait turned out! From his sweet little smile to her beautiful blue dress, it feels timeless like a piece of artwork that could have been hanging in their family for generations.

And that’s exactly what we want to create. Not simply a portrait of what your children look like today, but an heirloom that reminds you of who they were together in this season.

Because they won’t stay this little for long. But this? This gets to stay.
