What is a β€œFresh 48”?

It’s newborn photography, captured within the first 48 hours of birth. This can typically be done in a hospital setting, or of course (my favorite) a home birth! Think all of the smallest, special details of having your baby earthside with you. Mom, dad, siblings, too. No worries, I will have a mask on and clean hands during our session (due to it being the colder months/season) 🀍

Privacy UPDATE

This comes with long and hard, careful thought. I will no longer be posting images that show a child's recognizable face (2-12) because of the new ruling of AI and what it’s able to do. Unfortunately, not only is there safety issues with AI, there are obviously predators and pedos in this big and scary world. As you know, my page has a large following and I cannot monitor each and every person (much less know who they are).

I only post galleries with permission from my clients, BUT your children's privacy is more important than my business. Of course you may post your child's images on your pages. This doesn't change anything about my sessions, they will go as normal and you'll recieve your galleries just as you would before! I understand this may impact my bookings, due to many wanting to see examples of my work before booking. My portfolio is still on my website. You'll have to trust me and my capabilities.

I actually love that so many other photographers are doing the same, and pray that one day our kids can live in a safer world.

I definitely used to be the mom that posted SO many photos of my young kids on social media (guilty as charged) but with the growing dangers of AI and what it can be used to produce (truly vile images, you can imagine) my opinion on sharing their faces publicly has changed over the last year. I make sure my pages are private, and for the most part, I've made sure my page is only family and friends I actually KNOW. I actually have recently used β€œstickers” to cover their faces. However even those can be removed sadly. I’ve personally had to hand pick and skim through my personal page to ensure my babies safety to the best of my abilities.

As a photographer of 5 years, I'm not the biggest fan of AI. For many reasons. I care more about our world, our water, and the safety of our children.

ALSO, as a friendly reminder with the school year starting. I really urge parents out there to not post that photo with the location and name of your child's school ALONG with their teachers name, and grade. That is far too much information for the internet. If it makes me a crazy "helicopter" mom, I'll absolutely wear that loud and proud.

Now is the time to book those updated family photos you’ve been wanting!
September has TWO dates left to book, the 13th & 20th - golden hour mini sessions.
October has just TWO dates left, the 11th & 25th (Michigan’s peak season-for color!!)
November has just 4 dates available right now, and will most likely be the last sessions of 2026, as December will be closed.
