AFK Photography Afshin Katanchi was born in Tehran, Iran in the fall of 1969 in a hardworking and supportive family.

From the very early stage of his life Afshin showed his interest and talent in visual Arts. His interest led him first to volunteering in a local photo studio every summer of his high school years. Latter he joined workshops and trainings offered by “The Iranian Youth Photography Society” which made a tremendous change in his view of photography. Katanchi, entered the college of Art and Architect

of Tehran University in 1993 with major in Acting and minor in Photography. He graduated from college in 1997, while was honored to be the photographer of “Film Report Magazine” as well as photographer of film and theater. Since 2001 Afshin started his own photo shoot gallery in Tehran and professionally continued to work on portraits, ceremonies and events. Following his immigration to the United States in summer of 2012 Afshin is determine to follow up on his passion and continue his work in his new home.
