Just showing you my face since it’s been awhile and there are quite a few new followers around here…

My name is keana parker and I am a photographer, amateur filmmaker, entrepreneur and all around adventure seeker.

2022 has been a while ride for me and I’ve been thinking a lot about the direction I’m going. One that involves SHARING MORE.

Some days I feel like a failure. Why do I feel like this?

I uprooted myself to a new state, left friends, family, my network, shut down a success portrait studio and am now “starting over” again at 34.

While it’s been tough, I am opening up to the idea of my real purpose, my true alignment and how I give back to the world. To put it simply….

My mission is to create beauty in the world and to tell stories.

It’s ok to start over. It’s ok not to know what to do next. It’s ok to be a beginner.

Change is sometimes the catalyst we need.

Playing with light ✨

So I started a thing. I’ve committed myself to a self portrait project. Behold, one of my first images 😌

As a photographer, it’s weird being on the other side of the camera but I am finding that this creative endeavor through trial and error, mistakes and ah ha moments, I am loving the challenge.

Plus, who doesn’t want to create cool images of themselves that’s not a selfie.

Hello there Sunshine!

Its your favorite empowerment photographer, here to give you all the juiciest info about where you can find me, if empowering portraits are for you ( 1000% YES, YES THEY ARE ) and why I love empowering women!

For all my new followers, my name is Keana Parker and I am a women's portrait photographer. I spent the last 5 years empowering women through the art of bo***ir photography. We photographed over 225 women during that time and as I write this, I can't help but express my deepest affection, admiration and gratitude to each and every person who stepped into my studio and in front of my lens. I loved making you feel good. I loved seeing you feel confident. And I loved being your biggest hype woman!!

After many years in a studio setting, we started taking our work outdoors! Nature is my all time favorite pastime so I felt I wanted to incorporate it more. I knew I needed to make that change. Change is scary. But change is also magical! So here I am, making those big life changes.

I am now located in Taos, New Mexico aka the Land of Enchantment, serving Santa Fe and the surrounding areas. For outdoor portraits, the landscapes offer dreamy alpine mountains ( the lower Rockies ), epic blue skies filled with fluffy clouds and wide open breath taking spaces. Come visit!

Greetings from the Land of Enchantment!

Incase you missed it, I moved to northern New Mexico 🧡 I was searching for a change of pace, a change of lifestyle and a change of scenery. I think I succeeded. Change is scary but it became my new friend.

Things I am living for right now:

- Hearing nothing but the wind in my backyard.
- House projects on our home (follow my personal profile to follow along )
- Exploring new photo locations, dirt roads and epic chill spots on the Rio Grande
- Feeling my creative juices flowing as I prepare a new website, offerings and my first course! 📸
- Knowing in my heart that my worth is not tied to my productivity and trying to live in alignment with that mission everyday

"I really felt with all these new changes happening in my life I felt like it was time to give back to myself and let myself kind of be on the other side of that scenario. And I also really was drawn to the experience of it all, I could have just asked a friend to photo shoot me somewhere, but I really wanted that experience in that and to tell myself I was worth it in away and I just spend most of my time working for other people. And so, this was really important to me to treat myself and let myself know that I am worth it.

It feels like magical. I think a lot of it is in the preparation too, which I think helped me not be nervous. I wasn’t really nervous at all. I spent a lot of time envisioning  in my head sort of what I wanted it to feel like mostly. And kind of doing prep work for that. I want it to be fun, so I am going to spend time looking for fun things I can incorporate.

My advice would be to just have fun. I kind of said to you if you I wanted to go into this being sexy or a certain someone. I think I would have felt more pressure on myself. But I went in with thinking I want to be sassy and sexy and fun for myself. And it doesn’t really matter what happens at the end of it, its really more about the experience than what happens after.

I just think you are completely wonderful and dream to work with and I would Super recommend this to anyone in the world!"
