Sunshine and flowers for two people who felt like the same! Madison and Jeremiah gave me their trust and invited me in like a friend. If you’re in love and can give your photographer those three ingredients you should be able to get some pretty great photos back. I’m glad my camera got to capture their sunshine. ☀️ 🌺

Tom and Emily aren’t on Instagram so i could really say anything i want right now about their engagement session - Thankfully the truth is caption-worthy. These two are so loving and kind and in awe of each other that the camera just kinda does its thing and you’re left with this. We started at sunrise with cherry blossoms, ended around lunch with a frozen marg. I’d say i enjoyed my time with them but that would be an understatement. Can’t wait to show you their wedding photos.

Everything changed when I stopped viewing engagement sessions as fodder for invitations and wedding websites, and more as an opportunity to build a relationship with people that are kind enough to invite me into their highest of days! It’s a little scary to say this online but my best photos come from when i’m shooting friends—so making friends is a top priority! Love abounds, i’m lucky to point my camera in that direction!

Shot my sneaker plug’s wedding.

We’ve gone from Jordan 1’s in the random parking lots to Solomon Xt-6’s in slightly nicer parking garages. Jon and I have shared a love for shoes, and any running i’ve done (although not much lately) has been with his encouragement.

Thank you for the invite, thank you for the trust! Here’s what a few hours of trust and love can look like.
