I wasn’t looking for these. I just knew they were there.

They’ve lived quietly in my mind for years, leaving behind their imprint.

There’s nothing particularly remarkable about them, and yet… they are everything I know as my childhood. The in-between moments. The ones where I wasn’t perfectly posed, wasn’t wearing the smile I practiced in the mirror a thousand times.

Just me, as I was.
And somehow, those are the images that hold everything.

Maybe that’s the point of photographs… not the moment you prepare for, but the one you almost miss.

That’s the story. And it’s one I’m always honored to capture for you.

It’s been nearly a decade of having the sweetest honor of being a mentor for and, this weekend, I get to join the other educators at to refuel our souls. 🙌🏻

The talent that these women bring to the table is intimidating to say the least and to sit among them, I just don’t have words for. ✨ But also equally emotional to get to hang with my besties, and and fight over who gets to share a bed with who. And of course to hug for an awkwardly long time.

Longest “out of the office” post of all time but, let’s be honest, I’m not in the office on the weekends anyway. 🫶🏻 Thanks to my captain (iykyk) for holding down the fort.
