A portion of every Pink Grass Session is going back to Jefferson High School Softball through my Girls Who Play Initiative, and I really want to make this a special season for these girls. The more sessions I’m able to book, the more I’m able to give back and help support their program. 🥎

A little business update 🤍

I am officially back to doing photography part time only.

I took some time off, gave full-time photography a try, and honestly… it made me realize just how stressful running a business full time can be 😂 Long story short, I decided going back to work was what was best for me and my family right now.

I am NOT giving up photography! I still love it, I’m still booking, and I’m still so excited for everything I have coming up. I just ask for a little extra grace when it comes to editing and turnaround times.

Editing now happens after a full workday, after getting home and taking care of four kids, dinner, homework, family time, and everything else that comes with life. And of course, we’re currently getting hit with the lovely back-to-school germs while also adjusting to our new routine. 😅

So, if you are currently waiting on a gallery, please know that I haven’t forgotten about you. I appreciate your patience more than you probably realize, and honestly, my family appreciates it too. Your galleries are coming, and I’m working through them as quickly as I can without taking away every bit of time I have with my family.

For future sessions: If you know you need your gallery back ASAP or by a certain date, please let me know before booking or before your session. I’ll look at my work and family schedule for that week and be upfront with you about whether I can realistically make that turnaround happen.

Balancing work, a business, four kids, and life is definitely a juggling act, and sometimes unexpected things happen. Thank you for continuing to support my little business through all the different seasons of life. It truly means more to me than you know. 🤍

I’m still here, still shooting, still editing… just doing it at a pace that allows me to be present at home, too. 📸

I wanted to take a minute to explain what **The Girls Who Play Initiative** really is and, more importantly, why I started it. 🥎

Being around youth and high school sports through photography has opened my eyes to how different things can be from one school to another.

The reality is, not every public school or athletic program receives the same amount of support. Some schools have stronger booster programs, more community support, newer equipment and more resources available to their athletes. Other programs are working incredibly hard with what they have and unfortunately, the girls are often the ones who feel that difference.

And that has always bothered me.

These girls are still showing up. They’re practicing, competing, representing their schools and putting in the same hard work as athletes at programs that may have far more resources available to them.

That’s why I created **Girls Who Play.**

Each year, I want to choose a local girls’ athletic program that I feel could benefit from a little extra support and use my photography to help give back.

For the 2026–2027 year, I have chosen Jefferson High School Softball. 🥎

I’ve always tried to keep my photography affordable. I don’t make a huge amount from every session, and I’m completely okay with that. I started this business believing that everyone deserves to have their memories captured without it costing a fortune.

So when I say a *portion* of my sessions is being donated, it may not always be hundreds of dollars at a time.

But a little goes a long way when a community comes together.

What we raise could help purchase new bases for the field. It could help replace equipment. It could help provide a meal for the girls on game day. It could go toward something as simple as making sure these athletes have what they need to step onto that field and just worry about playing the game they love.

My upcoming Pink Grass Sessions are the first sessions contributing to the initiative, but I hope this becomes much bigger than one fundraiser or one season.

I want to continue choosing a girls’ program each year and finding little ways throughout the year to give back.

I may just be one photographer with a small business, but if something I already love doing can help make things even a little easier for these girls, then it’s worth it.

That’s what Girls Who Play is about. Girls supporting girls, our community supporting our athletes, and making sure the girls who play know that somebody is in their corner.🤍🥎

Pink grass sessions at Cypress Point are officially open!

These are always some of my favorite sessions. The pink grass mixed with that Cypress Point sunset makes the prettiest backdrop, and this year I’m only opening up two weekends for them.
