First time in Alaska, in-between season.
Snow melting, summer not quite here yet.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A few slow days with my mom and family, my niece’s graduation, and time that didn’t feel like it needed to be rushed.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And I came home with my cousin’s sourdough starter… so yes, I’ve entered my sourdough era.

Carly & Tommy got to step into their space before the night began—
soft light, palms, pattern, and a pop of color… everything they had imagined, finally brought to life
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
instead of a traditional seated reception, the evening unfolded more like a cocktail-style gathering
lounges, movement, conversations flowing—
a dance floor that never really emptied
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“that pattern was really the thing i was most excited about, and we loved seeing it as the centerpiece of the reception on the bar. the wrapped dance floor was another one of my favorite parts—it felt so special and tied everything together.”

Built right on the water at Longboat Key Club — a place that’s held years of memories for Carly and her family — this welcome dinner felt especially meaningful.

As the sun set over the Gulf, guests wandered through cocktail hour, enjoyed dinner stations on the beach, and gathered for what turned into one of the most heartfelt evenings of the weekend. So many toasts, poems, happy tears, and the kind of laughter that reminds you exactly why these nights matter.
