Saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Andy Williams frmrly. of Every Time I Die. Among tons of other great creative projects. Not just in music but pro wrestling as well, having spent time in the ring with multiple promotions to include . Andy was a true creative powerhouse.

Welp the local scene is losing it's gah damn mind. Really glad I have a great group of people in my corner that have helped put me in a position where I dont really have to care what my local scene does or doesnt do. It does suck though, to watch two halves of the scene go back and forth in online public forum. Knowing full well if any of them from either side ever came face to face the silence would be deafening.

For any local aspiring artists, get out when you can. There is a whole world out there and much of it is better than what you’ll find here. Better venues, better promotors, better bands. I dont just mean artistically, I mean professionally. You are more likely to find places and people that are easy to work with. Spreading your reach means more opportunities and more eyes on you when you sieze those opportunities. You'll also find out quickly if professional artistry is for you or not. Youll quickly find if you are capable of working in a wide range of situations with a wide range of people or not. Youll quickly find out if you are actually enjoyable to hang with or if youve just formed a clique that tells you what you wanna hear. I think those things are what holds a lot of local artists back. Better to find out now though right?

The biggest metal band ive ever photographed in Tallahassee was undoubtedly ADTR. That opportunity only came because of work i had done in Destin. Over 150 miles away from here. If I had never broken from the local scene, that opportunity never would've come. Period. I could say the same about a long list of bands that either never played here, or if they did, nobody wanted to help local workers and bands be part of the show. Meanwhile ive watched local bands open for major international headliners several times in places like Destin, Jax, and ATL. Venues and organizers in those cities value making those kinds of connections for their locals.

is one of the most powerful musicians one can watch perform. Im man enough to admit I bawled my eyes out at times. If you havent done the deep dive on Badflower, check out tracks like Family, The Jester, and Move Me. You will see what I mean.

Still gobstopped by these insane shots of when they played to me, they are to funk and soul what is to thrash metal. Absolute legends at the pinnacle of their genre.

Blown away by the artistry of one .blake.612 More shots of this incredible mask coming. The details in the design and carving work is next level. Constructed from real bone. With each part carefully selected and brought together. This thing is heavy and dark and hard to look away from. Much like the bands, music videos and movies that inspired it. Huge shoutout to and Phoenix for dealing with heat, bugs, and wearing this absolute monster of a prop.

Today, the Hard Rock Orlando family is mourning the loss of someone who helped tell our story and so many others through his camera lens.

For years, Daniel Higgins captured the energy, emotion, and unforgettable moments that made so many events special. From sold-out concerts and standing ovations to quiet moments backstage, Dan’s photographs preserved memories that will live on long after the lights have dimmed.

Dan wasn’t just our house photographer, he was a cherished member of our team, a familiar face to artists and crew, and a friend to so many.

We are incredibly grateful for the passion, talent, and heart Dan brought to every event he has been a part of here and all over the world. Because of him, countless moments in Hard Rock’s history will never be forgotten.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Dan’s family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched.

Thank you for helping us see the magic through your lens. Your legacy will forever be a part of Hard Rock Orlando.

IM OFF TO YOSEMITE THIS SEPTEMBER!

On a mission to photograph like I never have before in a place where ill have to hike, navigate, and prepare like I never have before!

This is a costly trip. Between getting my gear out there, the cost of film (purchase AND development), flights, lodging, food. The list goes on

This is a photographic expedition into Yosemites most loved places.

I’m chasing images like:

Night shots of climbers moving across the face of El Capitan

Sunset across Half Dome. With its iconic granite face.

Sunrise from Artist Point and Tunnel View, photographing Yosemite Valley as the first light breaks across El Capitan and the surrounding peaks.

Waterfalls, alpine lakes, forests, and hidden corners of the park

All captured through both modern digital photography and the timeless character of film. Bringing together the precision of my Sony Alpha body with the patience and nostalgia of film stocks like Ektar 100, Ektachrome, and T-Max 400 from my trusty Canon AT1 to create a collection that feels timeless.

So im here to humbly ask all of you for help, but ive never been a handout type of guy. I wanna work for it. Theres a few ways you can help ahead of the trip.

- Pre order prints of the Yosemite trip!

Ill be offering prints of your choosing (from a pool of curated and edited photos) in both 8X10 and 16X24 sizes for $20 ea. and $35 ea. Respectively. (If delivered in Tallahassee)

- Order prints

Some of my current landscape work (especially my film work) is currently available for print purchase. Ill collaborate with you to browse my catalog and get the perfect print size and finish. Cost varies by print.

- Hire me to shoot you!

Live performance, band portraits, individual portraits, events, even product photography. I have great prices all around and im more than happy to work with you to create shots that are unforgettable memories.

Thank you to everyone who supports my work, shares it, books me, or puts one of my photographs on their wall. Every bit of support helps make this adventure possible.

Some shots of THE FLIRTšŸ’ from many moons ago at the 96 Nation house. Easily one of the top bands ive ever seen come through on the road. Raw excitement and energy is the best I could describe their live set. 96 had a reputation of putting on high energy shows that really did a lot of work to create community and carry the scene. Which, just a few years ago was jumping in Tallahassee. I felt like there was a strong balance between venues competing and DIY/house shows. Ive ridden the music scene wave a few times. Its definitely compounded by the big college in our otherwise little city. Artists come and go. Life happens. Im hopeful though. For another wave of great promotors, venues, bands, and fans.

P.s. 96 is still doing a lot for artists and creating unique experiences for fans. Check out their page for more on that.
