I am going to be a senior this coming fall. I am majoring in Visual Communications emphasizing in photography and minoring in Media Studies. I am expecting to graduate in May of 2015 and after graduation, I plan on opening up my own studio. I live in Tahlequah, Okla. all my life. I married my high school sweetheart in June 2011 and we have a beautiful 4-year-old son name Leland. Leland is my whole
world and my model for taking pictures. Whenever I have my camera out, he is there to help me with my pictures. I try to take pictures of my husband but he is not photogenic like our son. I love spending time with my family. I never thought Visual Communications would be my major or let alone be in college. I did not want to go to college but my mom wanted me to go. I enrolled and did not do so well with my grades. In March 2010, I gave birth to a baby boy. From the day he was born, I wanted to do better, not only for myself but also for my son. My heart was set on majoring in Psychology because I had such an interest in the subject while in high school. My husband told me that I should go for photography because I love taking pictures. If it was not for my husband pushing me in that direction and my cute son for being my model, I do not think I would be majoring in Visual Communication.
