As I reflect on the devastation Hurricane Helene has left behind in Western North Carolina and the surrounding mountain towns, my heart aches for the communities affected. Since moving to NC 1.5 years ago I’ve been fortunate to capture so many beautiful moments—photographing couples against the stunning backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the vibrant fall colors, and peaceful rivers.

It’s hard to imagine such beauty being torn apart by the storm. Beyond the natural landscape, so many homes have been ruined, and the lives of countless families have been upended. Along with the homes, the small businesses that give these towns their charm—local shops, cafes, and galleries—have also been severely affected. These are the people and places that make this region so unique, and they now face the immense task of rebuilding from the ground up.

But I believe in the resilience of these towns and the strength of the people who live here. My hope is that nature’s beauty will be restored in time, that homes will be rebuilt, and that the businesses and communities will thrive once again. My thoughts are with everyone working to recover, and friends and family still searching for their loved ones. Until we can witness the rebirth of these incredible places, Asheville needs your help.
There are many ways to contribute physically or monetarily. Many charities involved in helping these communities that accept donation or volunteering are: Samaritans purse, team rubicon, Red Cross, fema, operation airdrop, Cajun navy, many churches and outside communities (I can list more if you want!). When the PNW is being the PNW you embrace it ☔️🩵🩵 I was so stoked when Olivia said she was still down for their shoot despite the forecast🙌🏼 it was definitely A LOT rainier than it was projected and we were on the coast but these two were not even phased! Olivia even ASKED to get in the water 🙌🏼🙌🏼 so thankful for my amazing clients that trust me to capture their moments even during a rainstorm 🥰☔️🩵🫶🏻 also, Oscar, their pup..crying 🥹🥹

Hi hi!

I’m Kelsey! I’m not good at this part so here we go 😂
• I specialize in elopements + couples shoots with the occasional wedding + family shoots! Photographing couples really just fuels my passion though & I feel I can be the most creative with that ✨
• I love advocating for my couples who don’t want to take the traditional wedding route but feel there is no other option. There is and you don’t have to feel bad about it!
• I love adventuring with my couples! The outdoors is my playground and it’s so fun to be able to be creative with what surrounds us for your photos!
• When I am not working on my photography, I am also a Nurse 🩺❤️‍🩹 I would love to jump full time into my business but for now I am loving spending my free time working with my couples! While being a nurse it still gives me the flexibility to travel for shoots 🥰
• I have a fiancé + 2 dogs 🐶🤍
We are having our own elopement in 2024! 🏔️🌿🤍
• I used to be Washington based but we recently moved to North Carolina (army 🥲) but I already have several travel plans to be back in WA 🏔️🤎 The PNW is my favorite place + I hope we get the chance to move back 🤎🧡
My goal is to create genuine, authentic + raw moments while we are shooting together!

Struggling to decide between eloping & a wedding?
A small intimate ceremony with a few friends + family present is a great way to get both aspects. If you’re finding you still want to share this day with a few loved ones - an intimate wedding is something to consider!
You can choose to celebrate after with your friends & family or you can choose to go on an adventure, just the two of you.
You could head out early in the morning and catch a sunrise hike and then come back for beers to celebrate with friends + family. You can choose to share the whole day together but leave the stress of a big wedding out. Rent a room in your favorite brewery or restaurant.
There’s many ways to incorporate special one on one moments, & sharing moments with loved ones.
Plan a day that is authentic to you & your partner 🤍
