So I've been missing in action for a while. We moved to Washington last summer! We talked about it for years & years and finally just made it happen. I have fallen in love with this state, all the way through. It's rainy and gloomy as hell during the winter, but it is SO INCREDIBLY GREEN in the summer that it makes it all worth it.

Today, I went for a drive up the canyon not very far from my house. Here's what I found! Whenever I get homesick for California, I just need to remind myself of all the beautiful scenery that Utah has to offer.

Last week, I was lucky enough to spend the whole week in New York City with other students in my program. We saw a lot of famous museums, rode a lot of dirty subways, ate more food than I'd like to openly admit, and took what I hope are some really great photos! This is a shoot that I am absolutely excited to be sharing! It all started with a local fashion magazine I wanted to submit to, but more on that later. This was a really great experience for me to create an inspiration board of imagery for this collaboration and then to make artistic decisions to see this shoot through. I wanted to use an urban setting to showcase the type of fashion that you would see people wearing when they go out. I am thrilled with how it all came together, and NONE of this would be possible without the amazing talent that contributed to this shoot. Alex Rodriguez-Mendoza did an incredible job with the makeup, and both Mallory Stack and Alyson Nicole Lund were gorgeous, amazing models to work with. Grateful is an understatement when describing how I feel about these beautiful people.

It's not every day that you have the opportunity to shoot at an acrobatic studio! If you live near Davis County, you HAVE to check out Root to Rise studio in Farmington Station. The owner, Bryan, is an awesome guy and the students there are insanely talented.
