As the lights move north, the full arc of the display nicely aligns with . However, the focal length I had was not enough to capture mountains and lights in the same frame. So ended up creating a of 5 photos!!

What a lucky day!

We drove to Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, and the clouds were just right for a spectacular sunset. With the help of Skyfire and Windy apps, we kept track of the cloud reports and were rewarded with a beautiful display of colors as the sun sank below the horizon.

The whole setup was perfect, and everything went according to plan.

Check out this incredible shot of Mount Rainier with a witch hat or dragon-like cloud perched on top! We were lucky to witness this breathtaking sight on a clear day before the rain clouds rolled in from the west.

How did we previsualize this shot?

During the evening break, I noticed a unique cloud formation building on mount rainier and asked to track this cloud and find the best location to photograph. Once work ended, we went south to get a better alignment and capture this incredible moment.

Mother nature never ceases to amaze us!

I went through some old photos and stumbled upon this stunning close-up shot of a tamarind flower captured with my trusty Nikon macro lens. It instantly brought back fond memories of my childhood days when snacks were easily found everywhere! And what was my go-to snack? You guessed it - tamarind!

The taste of tamarind is simply irresistible. It's incredible how something so simple can be so delicious. I used to pair it with chili or salt; it was the perfect snack to munch on. But that's not all. Even the tamarind tree leaves (especially the sprouts and young leaves) are equally tasty! And let's not forget about the fruit - every stage of its ripeness is so darn yummy!

The tamarind tree truly is a wonder of nature. It provides us with an abundance of food all year round, and it's no wonder that tamarind has become such an inseparable part of our culture. So, the next time you come across a tamarind tree, don't hesitate to grab a few and enjoy the deliciousness. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you for it! 🌳🍃🌸

🦜🌳 Witnessing the songbird migration at Magee Marsh, Ohio, is truly a breathtaking experience. Check out this beautiful female American Redstart captured singing its trademark song during the spring migration. Although females have more subtle colors than males, bright yellow is equally stunning.

🌊 Nestled on the shores of Lake Erie, Magee Marsh and Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge are popular hotspots for birdwatching. Hundreds of thousands of songbirds pass through the swamps of the Magee Marsh bird walk in April and May. The one-mile trail may be short, but it is packed with birds during the peak migration days.

As someone who loves birding and photography, I've noticed that capturing photos of elusive birds like the wood duck can be challenging. However, I've also seen many stunning pictures of these birds go viral on social media, which makes me wonder how they were taken.

Upon further search, it seems that many of these photos were taken at local ponds where the ducks have become accustomed to humans or on private land with the help of blinds.

I understand that some photographers may want to keep their locations a secret to protect them from exploitation. Still, I believe that there needs to be a framework in place to support locals when these secret locations are exposed. We should also consider measures to control how these locations are utilized to ensure an influx of visitors or excessive commercialization does not negatively impact them.

Let's work together to find a balance between our love for photography and our responsibility to protect the natural world.
