One of my strengths as a photographer is helping create a relaxed and fun atmosphere where families can be themselves without any pressure to "perform" in front of the camera. I work a fair amount with families who've never hired a family photographer before and aren't sure what to expect. Many
people's only experience with photography is sitting rigidly in awkward positions in front of a camera posing. I like to get out of the studio into the beautiful nature that surrounds Tacoma and capture my clients in more natural positions. I like to get to know my clients through messaging beforehand to hear about their interests, their backgrounds, and stories. This helps me begin to plot out the photo session and devise a plan to properly capture their unique personalities. I want each of my clients to not only be amazed at the end results but also see their family members' identities shine through each photo. I hope to cement this moment in time and create years of sentimentally looking back at the portraits from the session.
