La Push Beach, WA

An annual weekend getaway with friends included a walk on La Push Beach on the Quileute Indian Reservation near Forks, WA. The weather was perfectly moody - misty, gray, and quiet with a super low tide. This gem was just one of the many treasures we found while beachcombing.

After the Storm. Point Robinson, Vashon Island

A localized storm passed overhead as I boarded the Point Defiance to Vashon ferry. The weather was moving quickly to the northeast, and I felt it could be a great opportunity to shoot the Point Robinson lighthouse with a backdrop of moody skies. Intuition paid off and I loved the way the weather and light played with the architecture. I used the shift function of the Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5 L Tilt/Shift lens to create a simple panoramic image. ISO100, f/11. 1/400.

Centralia, WA USA

This image was captured in Centralia, WA, USA. I was driving thru town when I came across these old tracks, and as I drove over them and glanced down the tracks, the clouds looked as if a train was coming down them, and it inspired me to get out and capture the moment.

Multnomah Falls

I took this at Multnomah Falls during my first trip to Portland, in 2023, a trip that ended up being the reason I ultimately moved to the Pacific Northwest. I didn't actually spend too much time there because it was so rainy that day, but this is one of my favorite pictures I've ever taken.
