As many of you know, this year marks the Bicentennial of the Erie Canal, and with this celebration the Museum of Wayne County History is hosting the 200th Anniversary of the Erie Canal exhibit, featuring artwork from local artists, including myself.

This exhibition showcases a range of artistic mediums, such as photography, paintings, and drawings, highlighting the historical significance and beauty of the Erie Canal. As a photographer with years of experience, I am proud and honored to have five of my photographs featuring the Erie Canal on display at this exhibit.

The Erie Canal holds a special place in my heart, given its presence in my hometown and the fond memories I shared with my father while fishing along its waterways. Notably, my ancestors, including my grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, great-uncle, and several others, worked on the Erie Canal as bargemen and laborers.

The exhibit is currently open now until November 22nd, 2025, and I highly recommend visiting to support local artists, museums, and historical preservation initiatives.
