New Woodstock NY. I liked this quirky little town. The abandoned high school, with the post office using some of the space now, was built in 1938 as a public works administration project.

Spirit House in Georgetown, NY.

Built in 1865 as a residence, and held meetings of Spiritualists in a large hall on the second floor. Lots of info available online as it's on the National Historic Register.

📸 Hudson Highlands "The Chalet." Just took a few from behind the "No Trespassing" barrier as a car pulled up right after me 🤨 what a gorgeous location! Beautiful hike at Hudson Highlands, and got a peek of Bannerman's Castle from the top.

Also on the way was Zelda Fitzgerald's Sanitorium, but it's currently an active construction site (screenshot from Atlas Obscura).

📸 Eckley Miners Village (PA): "Founded in 1854, Eckley is an example of a planned nineteenth century coal mining town. It is a community, or coal “patch town,” which provided mining families with the basic necessities such as housing and medical care, as well as basic amenities like a store, a school and churches"
