Archive 004: โ€œMelt.โ€

I started imagining my poems as scenes from movies that never existed.
So I began creating them.

This is Black love beyond the beginning.
The kind that grows softer without becoming less passionate.

The kind that wrinkles, deepens, remembers, touches, and still chooses you.

A love where two souls become so familiar with one another that the world around them begins to disappear.

โ€œMeltโ€ is a visual love letter to intimacy, devotion, aging, and the beautiful eroticism of being known completelyโ€”and loved anyway.

Sometimes the most beautiful love stories aren't written for the screen.

They're written between two people.
To my grandparents. ๐ŸŒน

CONGRATULATIONS TO ME ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ˜Šโœจ I am a 2026 Recipient of the Statewide Community Regrants. As a multidisciplinary artist, this is such an honorable achievement of many more to come. My project is Keepers of Memory: A Portrait and Poetry Series Honoring Community Elders. I am inspired by my grandparents for this one, being that I've been growing up listening to their battles and how they overcame them. Telling history through portraits & poetry together will highlight our very own seniors in Syracuse. I'm super excited to work with different centers, organizations, and individuals to make this commission happen. Thank you, Most High. Huge thank you to my supporters, as well as CNY Arts & the State of New York. Congrats to all the other recepients as well. Muahhh ๐Ÿฅณโœจ -AZ

I am the Spoken Word Poet for this year's ArtRageous Extravaganza! I thank my Most High, always. ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿงก It is a fundraiser whose mission is to support the gallery in honor of artists from all cultural backgrounds & mediums. ArtRage has been very supportive in my career as an emerging artist in the community. I am very blessed to be a headliner. From live music & poetry, to great food, and even a silent auction, this is a time you don't want to miss. I look forward to seeing everyone there. Come have an EXTRAVAGANT night! โœจ

Warm Georgia air.
Top down.
Her hand on my thigh while the city glows amber around us. Lost and found in love.

โ€œSavannah.โ€ is a love poem for Black q***r women โ€” for soft southern nights, freedom, intimacy, and the kind of romance that deserves to be seen like cinema.

In honor of Pride Month, this archive celebrates le***an love with poetry & visual storytelling. ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŽž๏ธ

Some stories were never written into films,
so I created them myself. For women, everywhere.

Happy Pride, my loves! ๐Ÿ˜š

I started imagining my poems as moments from movies that never existed.
So I began creating them.

Poems I wrote from my mini poetry chapbook. Poems I wrote from the soul.
Pure, unadulterated love. This is just the first of many. I hope you enjoy reading just as much as I passionately loved making these for you.

I am so proud of myself and BEYOND excited to work with my collaborator. ๐Ÿฅน MUSET is a triple entendre that means Muse + Music + Poet. It means bringing poetry to life with rhythm & passion, something that's deeply rooted in every creative alike. As the Cultural Director and CEO of Project Morals, having events that I envision for the community come to life is a real genuine accomplishment. Huge thank you to for allowing us to utilize such a phenomenal space. Sign ups are still open. Bring a friend! Come vibe out & have fun! See you all at 5:30PM for the first class of May! ๐Ÿ”ฅโœจ
