I had a little visitor this evening. Very unexpected. So grabbing my camera in a hurried rush, they are not so sharp, but I was still excited! The Pale Swallotail butterfly 🦋 🦋

Taken at Green Peter Reservoir, Oregon. A little abstract vision. A tranquility and loveliness I could not resist. And the water is truly amazing against this piece of shoreline.

Once again I caught something driving. We left Ogden, Utah heading up to Wyoming. Somewhere east of Morgan, Utah, along I-84 on the way to Wyoming. I've been trying to pinpoint the exact location and wondered if this formation has a name.

Does anyone recognize it? I'd love to know where it is and any history?

2 shots of the notorious "Highway to Heaven" in Wyoming. It's so crazy that the landscape, from up here looks so flat. Once you start going down it is an all new landscape sight. It is definitely quite a stretch. Winter sucks though. This last time the wind was actually not so bad. Thank goodness for that!

I can't wait to share my photos of this day!

This series is about the quiet strength I keep coming back to in the forest — the kind that doesn’t need to announce itself to be real.

These images hold the feeling of stillness, memory, and endurance. They’re about the way nature can feel both fragile and unbreakable at the same time, and how a wooded place can become a kind of refuge when life feels heavy. I’m drawn to the in-between moments here — soft light, layered shadows, and the sense that something has changed, yet remains.

I chose to share the strongest images from this series because together they say what I want this body of work to say: that there is power in quiet, and beauty in the spaces where time leaves its mark.
