The small, dark flower in the center of Queen Anne’s lace can easily go unnoticed. It is believed the flower is named after Queen Anne II, who pricked her finger, and a drop of blood🩸fell upon the delicate lace doily she had been making. Its root can be roasted, ground, and used as a substitute for coffee ☕️

You might be hearing wood frogs along with the spring peepers. Their call is deeper, almost like a quacking duck. I came across this one in the woods a few years ago peeking out from the leaves.
