Winter at the beach is slower. Quieter. Softer.
The crowds are gone, days are quieter, and the ocean feels endless. It’s the perfect season to lean in close- wrapped in blankets, tangled in hugs, wind in your hair and salt on your skin.

Let’s take a tour of this absolutely stunning day with the most genuine, kind, loving couple🤍

Every detail of this wedding had so much meaning behind it, starting with the fact that it was all in the brides back yard, what will now become home for these two. A safe harbor for the ones residing there, walls that will witness so much laughter, and love, many “conversations with a capital C” (as the bride likes to put it), apologies, and I pray, always forgiveness. Walls that will be there through it all.

Every person who was involved in this wedding has so much love for these two it just radiated through the day. Grandparent’s china was used for plates to hold food that was prepared by loved ones, and flowers from dear neighbor’s gardens adorned surfaces everywhere you looked.

There were many tears of joy, beautiful words of encouragement, and trips down memory lane, but the most beautiful part of this wedding was witnessing the love that these two share for Jesus, and each other. I can’t wait to see all of the places that god is going to show up in their life and the lives of everyone who has the pleasure of knowing them🤍

POV- family photos can actually be SO fun!!

What if everyone came into family photos ready to let their kids play, dance, laugh, make silly faces, and be 100% themselves? What if we could figure out how to let go of the way it’s always been done, and actually let our family be captured the way we are… Snorts, tears, ugly cries, and beautiful connections?
Let’s remember our kids for who they really are, and freeze those moments in time- because really, when your kids are grown and starting lives of their own we aren’t going to long for the time they sat up perfectly straight and smiled with no real emotion. We will long to see them how they really were and to be reminded of the crazy, the frustrating, the joyful, and the love.
Or is that just me?! 😅✨
