During some polls and q&a on my stories, SO many of you said you struggle with posing during your sessions! So what started as a tiny project evolved into something bigger; a 40+ page posing guide for YOU! 📷 ⠀

This guide is for photographers of ALL skill levels, and goes over both couples prompts, wedding day specific prompts, and hot tips for detail shots as well as how to get variety out of your different poses! ⠀

That’s right, this baby is JAM packed with posing and prompting knowledge straight from the posing I personally use during my sessions and weddings! I truly believe that implementing these prompts and poses can help you LEVEL UP your photography game, or bring fresh perspective and ideas to your already amazing work!⠀

Yesterday I FINALLY got to meet Tabitha & Michael after what seemed like an eternity of emails and messages! ⠀
⠀
These two tied the knot last October the day before their anniversary because they knew they didn’t want to wait any longer. They dressed casual and cozy and married each other in a simple courthouse ceremony with snow coming down outside. ❄️ ⠀
⠀
They knew they wanted to celebrate with family this year, but you-know-what reared it’s head and caused plans to shift. So instead of the wedding they had planned, they opted for a little elopement adventure session! 🌲 ⠀
⠀
We spent the evening chasing the sun, laughing A LOT, and creating beautiful memories for Tabitha & Michael to cherish forever. ⠀

To say working with them was incredible would be an understatement; these two blew me away! Both Tabitha and Michael are also fellow creatives and are an amazing videography team, so I was beyond honored that they chose me! ❤️⠀

IT’S TIME TO BOOK FOR FALL Y’ALL 🍂⠀

So I’m officially saying goodbye to summer with this post since swimming weather is definitely over and I already have my pumpkin decor out!⠀

So, so long summer my friend. And HELLLLOOOOOOO fall!! 🍁 ⠀

Which means....it’s time to book sessions for fall & Christmas!! 😍⠀

This fall my schedule is packed, October is completely full, and November & December are starting to book up as well! 🤯⠀

STEPS TO PLANNING AN ELOPEMENT⠀

So you’re thinking of eloping and having trouble with where to start planning! Here are a few of the first things to consider when starting the planning process!! ⠀

LOCATION! 🏔 ⠀
Choose whatever location you want and research it! If it’s a state or national park you may need certain permits or locations for ceremonies may be limited within the park! (Hint hint, a good elopement photographer can help with this too! 😉)⠀

SEASON! ❄️🌧☀️🌷⠀
Consider what season you want to get eloped in! With elopements it isn’t as critical to nail down a good Saturday since you won’t be sending out save the dates to 100 people. But the season will be important! Do you want to trek through snow and rain or say your vows in a field of wildflowers? This all depends on the season you choose! ⠀

VENDORS 📷 ⠀
After you choose your date, you’ll want to start thinking about vendors! If you’re travelling out of state, you can search google or search Instagram for location and vendor specific hashtags. For example, if you’re looking for a florist for an elopement in the Redwoods, you could search hashtags for a southern Oregon florist. Other vendors to look for would be air bnb rentals, local hair and makeup artists, and of coooooourse your photographer!!! (Aka me 😉)⠀

This weekend I took a break from posting on my feed (although I posted TONS on my stories) to get a lot of work done, enjoy time with family, and do a little bit of exploring too. ❤️⠀

If you haven’t seen my stories, Dani & Joe tied the knot on Saturday and I shared quite a few sneak peaks of their gorgeous day on my stories today! ⠀

Each and every wedding I capture is so special and unique, since no two couples and love stories are the same. One of my favorite things is seeing the little unique touches that each couple adds to their big day! 🎉⠀

For these two, just a few of those unique things was Dani riding into the ceremony in her horse, an arch that someone made them out of hundreds of antlers, and a vintage car that a family friend brought for them to take photos in; just to name a few! ⠀
