Some more eclipse notes!
Because we are not in the path of totality (only 93%), it will still NOT be safe to look at the sun during the actual total eclipse. I have seen many articles that say during the full eclipse it is ok to take your protective glasses off, but they fail to note that you have to be within the 100% totality region. So unless you drive up to Wyoming or Nebraska from here, you need protective glasses on the whole time!

Oh and one more thing!
Taking video or photos of the eclipse through a phone (or other device) if you are not in the 100% zone can harm your device!! The sun can fry the sensors in the camera unless you have a camera filter specifically designed to protect it!

Getting ready for the total solar eclipse on Monday! Here is an excellent resource from NASA where you can place a point on their interactive map and it will tell you the specifics on start and end times and obscuration. Here in Boulder County it will be about 93% which is still pretty good. Check back here for updates on viewing and photographing the solar eclipse!

Just finishing up a photo shoot in Eldorado Springs today and this guy wandered across the path and hid in the rocks. Pretty sure it was a bull snake.
