Last night's virtual "In this Place" screening was definitely one to remember! I never thought I would be attending the premiere of one of my films in a dining room! I was so honored to be apart of this project and to have my work shared along with so many other incredibly talented filmmakers!

A few weeks ago I was able to visit "Unweaving" in person. After spending three months creating a documentary short based around this art installation, it did not disappoint! If you are in the Twin Cities I highly recommend it. 😊

Happy Female Filmmaker Friday everyone! I am so excited go announce that for the past three months I've been busy working on my second documentary film, Unweaving Tia Keo! Back in October I began working with WDSE for their "In this Place" initiative. A series that uses documentary storytelling to bring communities together! I'm so excited to share more with you all in the coming days!

Monday August 24th 2020.

Residents of the Twin Ports gather outside the City of Superior Government Center to peacefully protest the shooting of Jacob Blake, a black man who was shot 7 times by Police in Kenosha Wisconsin. Chants for justice for Blake, Breonna Taylor, and Elijah Mcclain rang out on Hammond Avenue.
