Today in the garden, the basil is reaching toward the light. 🌱 Basil (Ocimum basilicum) is a wonderfully fragrant herb that thrives in warmth and sunshine. Regular harvesting and pinching back the flowering tops can encourage the plant to branch out and continue producing tender leaves.

And when basil begins to flower, those delicate blooms become another little treasure in the garden, attracting bees and other pollinators. 🐝💜

There is beauty in every stage: the planting, the growing, the flowering, and the harvest.
