Day 5--final day to celebrate World Photography Day!

Bird photography is addictive and I was so lucky to capture this beautiful cardinal feeding such a cute fledgling. They visited our feeder regularly, making it even harder for me to put down my camera and get on with the laundry already!

Summer heat/humidity is alive and well in Maryland; but a few months ago we were all popsicles! Watching the ice crack and create these awesome patterns, with a gorgeous sunset backdrop, kept me & my camera outside in some cold, but wonderful, weather.

Day 2--Celebrating World Photography Day!
Spiderwebs are everywhere and their intricacy never ceases to amaze me. This tiny one wasn't in the best shape but I loved seeing all the lines that created its beauty. Imagine recreating one of these every night? Spiders do incredible work--best enjoyed when there is no danger of walking into it, lol!

Hello it's WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY DAY! How many photos would feel like a celebration---thousands??? hundreds???
OK, maybe just maybe one each day this week. First up--a different perspective of the truly beautiful (and maybe a bit haunting) Kent Narrows Bridge, on Maryland's Eastern Shore. I felt really fortunate to have a quick opportunity to capture this shot while in a boat, celebrating a dear friend's birthday!
