I love staying ahead of trends, so Tenley Stitzer and I thought we would try our collective hand at the latest rage in headshots; Editorial Headshots.

Editorial actor headshots are stylized, storytelling portraits which look richly finished, like they could be a magazine feature. They can be used for personal branding, and digital, high-end casting. We used a more dramatic lighting than we’ve been using, and also a simpler light… window light, and I framed her artistically to showcase her personality. I love them!! What do you think?!

The first time I saw Bizzie, I knew that I had to photograph her. She is gorgeous, obviously, but her inner essence just Glows. She’s so full
of fun and light, willing to try anything, and I adore her mom, Jenni Blatz, who was so instrumental in finding us our home in Sunbury. We shot over two days, in my studio and in Inniswoods, and both days were so much fun. Here are a few of her favorites, but like her brother and sister before her, I could have just opened any picture I chose and they were all completely gorgeous.

Connections are so interesting, aren’t they? I usually have no idea of how people find me for pictures, but this is a fun connection; in this case, Bradley is the older brother of Ethan, who i adore, and Ethan plays Pinocchio in SPA’s upcoming Shrek, and I was so excited when his sweet mom, Kara, asked me to shoot his Senior pictures!! We started out shooting in the rain in uptown Westerville, and kept trying to outrun it by moving to In Inniswoods, but the rain kept on chasing us, so we took a rain check and met the following week. It was beautiful out. We had a lot of fun and I’m completely obsessed with how his pictures came out!

A couple of the lovely Heidi’s favorite headshots… she’s so nice… she came back to look at her pictures on a day that I was doing headshots of all of the kids that are in Shrek, and I was working in the computer when she can in so I had her fill out a form, take off her shoes and go downstairs, and when I got down there, I was like “omg!!!what am I doing”, and she just laughed it off! 😂
