One of the biggest realizations I had at my weeklong retreat with Joe Dispenza this past February…t was time to return to creating art.

I was an early Photoshop user in the early '90s, making images that lived somewhere between reality and imagination. Then parenthood arrived, followed by running a business, and I stepped away from creating just for myself.

I still love portraiture deeply! But this is something different.

This piece, a rider leaping over a cloud, came from an image that kept appearing in my meditations after the retreat. Me, on horseback, leaping into the clouds. It always leaves me feeling free and exhilarated.

I went to the Essex Horse Trials a few weekends ago and this photo was waiting for me there. And something extraordinary happened that afternoon, a synchronicity I'll share with you soon. For now, I'll just say: it felt like a clear sign that all is unfolding at the right time.

That one day when we celebrate moms is coming up.

And while this isn’t a photo of a mom, it speaks to something I hear all the time from them.

“What I really want is a beautiful photo of my children.”

Because they grow. They change. And it all happens so quickly.

Photographs become a way to hold onto who they are in this moment - their expressions, their energy, the fleeting stages of life they are currently experiencing.

Two daughters, one in college the other in highschool, poised and self-assured.

A moment worth remembering!

One of life’s greatest pleasures, if you ask me, is meaningful conversation. Laughter is another, and during this podcast interview a few months back, Risha and I got to enjoy both.

We connected on so many levels, especially our shared appreciation for beauty.

Risha helps people discover and create beauty in their homes, while I help people reconnect with their inner beauty, the kind that naturally reflects outward.

Introducing Levi! Such a beautiful and perfect little baby. I loved meeting you sweet boy, and photographing you with your parents Aline and Luis was such a joyful experience for me.

I know it's more common to take photos of babies with their eyes closed, as they slumber. But to me, gazing into the eyes of a wee one is magical, and the essence of pureness.

About 10 years ago, I met Peggy at a women’s networking group in Northern New Jersey called BIG - Believe. Inspire. Grow.

At that meeting, I had brought a magazine I created to showcase my photography and the photoshoot experience I offer. Peggy flipped through it and quietly made a promise to herself: when she finished writing her book, she would book a photoshoot with me.

Recently she told me something that gave me chills - the promise of that photoshoot became the motivation that pushed her to actually write the book.

So she did.

Fast forward to today: Peggy is now the author of three books and a keynote speaker commanding five-figure speaking fees, sharing the powerful impact of gratitude.

The portrait of her in lavender was taken in 2026 - radiant with joy, confidence, and the kind of presence that comes from living your purpose.
The portrait of Peggy in black was taken in 2019 - timeless, poised, and beautifully self-assured.

A reminder that sometimes a promise we make to ourselves becomes the spark that changes everything.

A few months ago, I worked with an incredible woman who found me through a Google search. Something in the words and images on my website resonated with her, and that initial connection made all the difference.

Through my portrait work, I help women visually express who they are and who they’re becoming. Marianne trusted the process, and together we created images that supported her in showing up with confidence and presence. Hearing that the photos made her feel invincible is feedback that fills my heart, and why this work is so meaningful to me.

As a transformation leader, author, speaker, and board member, she needed branding images that aligned with her leadership and professional voice. Subtle shifts, multiple looks, and a reminder that we’re all wonderfully multifaceted!

Any day now, this beautiful mama will be holding her baby in her arms.

Her maternity session was a reminder of why I love this work so much. Taking the time to pause, to be seen, and to feel beautiful in a body that’s doing something extraordinary.

And what made it even more special, this session was a surprise from her husband! Truly one of the sweetest gifts.

To any woman reading this: you don’t need a special reason to be photographed, but moments like these remind us how powerful it can be.
