Yesterday, March 15, 2024, would have been my mom, Dorothy Romano’s 83rd birthday. She died of cancer on September 19, 1979 from cancer.
One of the reasons that I opened a photo studio was because we never did have a professional family photo with my dad. Cowen didn’t have one and the one mom and I had taken was from a traveling photographer at Blakes store in about 1976 or 77. So many families didn’t get good, professional photos.
In my 30 plus years of doing studio photography, I have photographed more than 20 high school seniors who have passed in accidents or diseases.
As long as we continue to share photos and videos of our friends and family, they will continue to live on.
