Hi, I’m Ben — owner of Vantage Point Photo & Films. I haven’t shown my face here in a minute, so here’s a little life update.
I started Vantage Point over 4 years ago because I believed people deserve to feel seen, heard, and understood. Over time, I’ve realized that belief has shaped me just as much as my work — teaching me the value of deeper connection, empathy, and truly listening to people’s stories. I was in a very different season of life when I first picked up a camera professionally, but the heart behind this work has stayed the same.
One of the biggest things I’ve learned over the years is that being human — growing, changing, and learning as we go — isn’t something to hide from. It’s where so much of the beauty and connection in life actually comes from.
I love capturing stories. Whether it’s a hand being held, a tear quietly wiped away, or the way someone looks at the people they love, I’m drawn to the moments that remind us what it means to be human.
Moving to Seattle gave me a fresh perspective on life, creativity, and the kind of person I want to become. I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Counseling Psychology at The Seattle School, and that journey has shaped me in deeply meaningful ways. It’s taught me to slow down, listen more closely, and appreciate the complexity and beauty of people’s stories in a whole new way.
Outside of work, I love sitting in the sun on my roof, going to the beach, listening to a good audiobook or podcast, drinking wine and having long conversations with friends, and finding beauty in everyday life. More than anything, I care about creating spaces where people feel comfortable enough to fully be themselves.
So if you’re new here — hi. Thanks for being part of this journey. I’m really grateful you’re here.
