Sometimes you just gotta scratch that itch.
Fun Fact: Peregrine falcons have tiny bony structures in their nostrils called tubercles that act like natural baffles slowing airflow as it enters their nose during a dive. Without them, diving at over 200 mph would make breathing nearly impossible. Nature basically built them with their own jet engine intake system.

Locked eyes with a Peregrine hauling fresh prey back to the nest!
A Peregrine Falcon can only carry about half its own body weight in prey so when the catch is too heavy, it’ll actually strip off the wings, legs, and head mid-flight to lighten the load before heading back to the nest.

Meet the Key Deer one of Florida’s most unique residents.
Native only to the lower Florida Keys, these miniature deer are a subspecies of white tailed deer but stand just 26–30 inches tall and weigh as little as 55 lbs about the size of a large dog.
They were nearly wiped out in the 1940s with fewer than 50 left. Thanks to federal protection under the Endangered Species Act since 1967 and the National Key Deer Refuge, their numbers have rebounded to roughly 800–1,000 today but they remain federally endangered. ”
