Today was one of those productive, grease-under-the-nails kind of days as I worked through maintenance and repairs on my three vehicles. Fluids got checked, a few worn parts were swapped out, and everything slowly started coming back into shape—but the real surprise came when I got around to my Jeep Wrangler. It had been sitting for about a month, and apparently I wasn’t the only one who thought it made a good resting spot. While checking all the tires on the vehicle, I discovered some unexpected new tenants had moved in inside the spare tire. Instead of sending them packing, I decided they’re welcome to stay—on one condition: mom has to name at least one of the babies Rubi.

Yesterday, I discovered a raccoon wandering through our backyard, and surprisingly, neither of us seemed to mind the other’s presence. He moved about calmly, almost curious rather than cautious, as if we had some quiet understanding. At one point, he even lingered long enough to pose for the camera, giving me the chance to capture a few memorable shots. It felt like one of those rare, peaceful encounters where nature briefly slows down and lets you be part of it.

NEW RELEASE!!!

Holland, Michigan bursts into a technicolor dream each spring when the Tulip Time Festival transforms the town into a living canvas—rows upon rows of tulips in saturated reds, pinks, yellows, and purples that catch the low-angle light and make the historic Dutch architecture glow; the brilliance of the blooms feels almost staged for a fine-art photograph, petals glossy and precise against wind-swept skies, yet their beauty is matched by an unassuming resilience—tulips that brave late frosts, sudden rain, and busy foot traffic shrug off hardship and reopen to the sun, a quiet testament to renewal that mirrors Holland’s blend of cultivated tradition and rugged Midwest heart.

NEW RELEASE!!!!

Empty space in photography can be as loud as any color or subject, and here a single red chair planted in the center becomes a bold punctuation against a vast white expanse. The chair’s vivid isolation reads like an intimate portrait of solitude—one figure, one thought—while the surrounding emptiness unfolds as the mind itself, limitless and ready to populate with memory, fear, longing, or imagination. That wide white field slows the eye, forces the breath to lengthen, and creates a deliberate silence in which the viewer is invited to pause and fill the scene with their own inner dialogue.

NEW RELEASE!!!

Orange—speaks of warmth, vitality, and bold renewal; in this frame the daisy, usually a humble emblem of innocence and new beginnings, is transmuted into a radiant herald of resilience. Water drops bead on each petal like tiny lenses, magnifying texture, catching the light, and suggesting anointing—freshness held in suspended moments. Dramatic lighting carves the scene into stark planes of shadow and glow, pushing the orange into cinematic intensity: the hue becomes a pulse against dark negative space, the petals’ edges ignite, and the droplets flash like miniature stars, turning an ordinary blossom into a luminous statement of life and light.
