Snowflakes were coming down right before this session started but you never would have known! Exciting announcement! 📣

If you have followed my photography journey, you probably know that I have been taking a break for the last year or so. I took a step back for a few reasons but the biggest of them all was the fact that this passion of mine no longer felt like an art. My creativity was becoming a routine and without that heartfelt sense of art and inspiration, it no longer was serving my purpose so I felt as though it was better off to walk away until further notice. With that being said, one can only ignore their calling for so long before they’re naturally drawn back to what was always meant to be. Long story short, I am itching to get back behind my camera and I can’t wait to see you all again! I am eager to focus my photography on specific shoots with particular visions in mind. I have a whole bucket list of photoshoots I would be honored to capture, I just need the right clientele to achieve these goals - so be on the lookout for some upcoming projects I may be interested in working on!

Although I won’t be jumping back into this full throttle, I know the holidays are fast approaching and Christmas minis have always been my favorite shoots of the year. I only have a small amount of upcoming availability so this will be on a first come first serve basis. I will not be hosting any outdoor setups this year but I would love to offer indoor holiday photos. This will allow families to be more at ease in the comfort of their own home and kids to be less irritable in the cold - allowing for much more natural smiles and candid moments. I have put together a vision board of what I have in mind. Baking in the kitchen, decorating the Christmas tree, or even having a pajama party in bed. The opportunities are endless and this can be geared towards anyone! Couples, families, grandparents, newlyweds, etc. If you or someone you know is looking for holiday photos, please let me know! I am excited to get back out there and do what brings me the most joy - capturing others during beautiful milestones and memories for years to come.

There are no words that could express how much I adore this family. I like to call them "The Brady Bunch" because how could I not with such a large headcount... and that was before we added in the siblings and cousins! All joke aside, it meant the world to be part of today and I will forever cherish witnessing this family create lifetime memories in front of my own eyes. Today was an eye opener on so many levels and there was no other way I could have envisioned going out than without a bang like this! Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of today and entrusting me with your family portraits. ✨🎄

Today I had my last two scheduled sessions and they couldn't have been any more beautiful of an experience. Each photoshoot today was truly sentimental and they both hit all of the feels. I found myself emotional after leaving each of the families; especially knowing that this may be the last time I pick up my camera for a long time to come - but these photos right here are the exact reason why I fell in love with photography in the first place. Being a part of capturing memories for years to come will always bring my inner soul happiness. I have had the honors of capturing this family for years now and each session is more special than the last. 🤍

This evening I received a phone call from a dear friend of mine that there was a wedding at the Publick House Historic Inn that was in need of an emergency photographer. Initially, I was reluctant as I am technically "temporarily retired" but I could not fathom knowing that there was a bride and groom who would never have professional photos of their special day to look back on. Thankfully, I managed to get there within record time and we were able to make it happen! I am so grateful to be able to provide them with these snapshots to cherish forever. As I sat down to begin drafting this post, I quickly realized that no amount of words could portray the love I have for this girl. Yesterday it was just us and a camera but today I am all in my feels as I process what just happened in front of my very own eyes. This stunning girl isn't just a senior, she is my niece, my goddaughter and so much more. It is bittersweet to think that this may be my last time behind a camera (for now) but there is no one else I would have shared this moment with. Mya, watching you grow up means more to me than you'll ever know. I will forever be your number one cheerleader. Thank you (and Brandon!) for saving some of the best for last. *insert tears*

For those of you that haven't noticed, I have been taking a hiatus from photography lately. In all honesty, I am not sure if this decision is going to be temporary or permanent but as of right now, I am not accepting any new bookings. The decision wasn't been easy but it felt right for me and my family. Between recently purchasing a new home, working a full time job and having two kids involved in multiple different sports/activities, there unfortunately hasn't been enough time in the day to allow for photoshoots as well.

However, regardless of how life crazy has been, I managed to squeeze in my first photoshoot of the year. We have been planning for this day for practically a year now and it's bittersweet to think that the time has come. This young lady holds a special place in my heart and after everything she has overcome in her life, she deserves for mountains to be moved on her behalf if you ask me. Jaden, I wish you nothing but the best in your future. Enjoy every moment of senior year because the time truly does fly by. And most of all, thank you for trusting me and giving me the honors of capturing such an important milestone in your life.🎓

This is going to be me hiding from any more editing for a little awhile! All jokes aside - all Christmas mini sessions are officially completed and everyone's final galleries have been sent out.
