An Opulent Venue

This week’s Beauty of Stockton image showcases the stunning auditorium of the Bob Hope Fox Theatre. Built in 1930 in the grand “movie palace” style, its opulent Moorish-inspired design was created to elevate cinema from simple entertainment into a true cultural experience.

With seating for more than 2,000 guests, the theater underwent an extensive restoration about 20 years ago, bringing back the beauty and craftsmanship that had made it one of Stockton’s architectural gems. Skilled artisans carefully restored everything from intricate plasterwork and decorative details to the seats themselves.

Today, the Fox continues to serve as a vibrant community treasure, hosting concerts, comedy, ballet, classic films, and countless special events. A remarkable piece of Stockton’s history that has found new life in the 21st century!

We wanted to share a selection of branding images Kevin created for noted business speaker, author, and podcaster Bart Spence.

This project included a variety of looks, from studio portraits and images of Bart speaking and teaching to on-location portraits taken in his podcast studio. The resulting collection has been used across his website, book, marketing materials, social media and even to promote his YouTube videos.

It’s a great example of how a well-planned branding photography session can provide a versatile library of images that supports a business across multiple platforms and marketing efforts.

A huge thank you to Bart for choosing Kevin to help showcase his expertise and connect with potential clients. We’re honored to have played a small part in helping tell his story.

Wildflower Accents
This week’s Beauty of Stockton image captures a small burst of color as wildflowers emerge from a sea of green blackberry vines along a quiet creek corridor.
One of Stockton’s unique qualities is how pockets of its rural and agricultural past continue to exist alongside modern city life. Hidden waterways, creek beds, and natural greenbelts remind us of the landscape that helped shape our community.
Sometimes it only takes a few wildflowers to appreciate the blend of urban and rural character that makes Stockton such a special place to call home.

Kevin has donated a mounted fine art print to the silent auction at the upcoming Pixie Woods Wine & Beer Tasting Fundraiser, taking place Friday, June 19, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The print features Kevin’s photograph of the iconic Pixie Woods train, one of the images from his ongoing Beauty of Stockton photo highlighting what makes our community so unique.

This annual fundraising event helps support improvements, maintenance, and new features at Pixie Woods, ensuring future generations of children can continue to enjoy the magic of this beloved Stockton landmark.

This was such a fun and unique space to photograph. From comfortable areas to relax and watch the big game, to a stylish kitchen and bar, a golf training simulator, and walls lined with perfectly displayed memorabilia, every corner had something interesting to capture. It’s not often you get the opportunity to photograph a space that blends entertainment, personality, and design so seamlessly. Definitely one of the more memorable environments I’ve had the pleasure of photographing for Kathleen Jennison, Interior Designer!

Kevin’s Beauty of Stockton images are beginning to appear on walls throughout the city!

If you happen to visit the loanDepot office on Deer Park Drive, you’ll see several Beauty of Stockton prints proudly displayed. Lifelong Stockton resident Brian Morelli recently purchased a collection of images to decorate his office and share his pride in our community with clients and visitors alike.

It’s incredibly rewarding to see these photographs being used to celebrate the city and spark conversations about the many positive things Stockton has to offer.

A huge thank you to Expedia Cruises for helping make Kevin and Tracy’s unforgettable Alaska adventure possible—and for sharing some of the images Kevin captured along the way!

The Expedia Cruises team not only helped plan the perfect time of year for the trip, allowing Kevin to photograph Alaska with a beautiful late-winter atmosphere, but also coordinated travel arrangements so Kevin’s mom and sister could join the same voyage. Their expertise made the entire experience seamless and memorable for everyone involved.
