2 unique experiences for me on our stay in Corpus Christi. A lone flamingo hanging out at Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center. Many white pelicans along with other waterbirds were in abundance on the day I stopped by.
A tour during the Port A Whooping Crane Festival brought us quite close to several of the Whoopers that migrate to the Texas coast line for winter. with a population of just over 800 in the USA, and approximately 550 in the Aransas wildlife refuge it is an amazing site to see.
