Where We Riding T? Motorcycle Riding Philanthropist living life to the fullest! If I don't do it, who will? My charity of choice is Kickin Childhood Hunger. Your Riding Writer, "T"

We raise funds to buy weekend food sacks for children in Stillwater OK. Where We Riding T is a page created out of that question I get asked very often. I enjoy riding motorcycles alone as well as with others. I've created and led multi state women's rides and events since 2009. This page will help me share rides and destinations that I'm sure you'll enjoy; published works that I've written; fundraising efforts for charities; product reviews; fun and interesting quirkiness; and preparation for a dream ride I am doing in 2024. I will be riding the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge in August 2024 while raising $75,000 for Kickin' Childhood Hunger. Meeting this goal will supply at least 10,000 weekend food sacks for children under 18 years of age. That is one food sack every mile of my 10,000 mile Hoka Hey ride! THANK you for your support and attendance at our Bikes and Breakfast on Block 34. We have had a wonderful time this summer enjoying the gathering of so many generous riders. Over the 4 events we held, we were able to raise over $10,100 for Kickin' Childhood Hunger. That is the equivalent of 1,432 weekend food sacks for area kids. Without your generosity, kids would go without food over the weekend...Right here in our community.

Special thanks to our volunteers who were eager to bring you a good time, yummy breakfast and prizes Galore! We had over 50 giveaways, drawing items and prizes each event compliments of area donors like WheelDock KICKER MyBikerAttorney Eskimo Joe's Promotional Products Group and more. We thank them for their generosity as well.

All of this was possible due to the support of Visit Stillwater assisting with a grant to allow our pavilion usage, space, tables and chairs at Block 34. We had the best bike event venue around. We also want to thank our two food sponsors for donating food for the event. provided our hot foods🥓 and coffee☕️. Stillwater Daylight Donuts dough-nated 😆 their yummy sausage rolls and donuts. 🍩

Moodyworks Entertainment was spot on with music to set the mood each week.

Bringing the ride community together to enjoy a Saturday morning breakfast was our pleasure. We were blown away by your generosity and enjoyed our visits with old friends and making new friends as well.

I'm still working on my Kickin Childhood Hunger $150,000 goal for 2026. I am at $110,350. If you'd like to give, these food sack programs need these funds to provide for area kids. 3,000+ food sacks are used each month at K-middle school in Stillwater alone. That is a $21,000 budget per month!

Thank you to all our sponsors donors and attendees for joining us this year as we raised funds for Kickin' Childhood Hunger. You raised over $10,100 this summer for weekend food sacks for area children.

Where We Riding T? Is currently at $110,300 to the $150,000 goal. We have a few more events and fundraisers to go in hopes of raising the goal. On our last food sack packing day with one of KCH funds recipients, we were informed the United Methodist food sack program is spending $21,000 each month for food sacks.
At that pace, the sack funds will deplete sooner than the end of the school year.

As you ride out to Bikes Blues and BBQ this week, remember that Arkansas has some of the most beautiful winding, ride challenging roads in the nation.

Remember that many of these may not have fuel stations for miles...especially for peanut tanks. Not that Lola and I have ever ran out of fuel or anything....LOL

Why did so many of us appear to go different directions on Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge? As we travel along following our line by line directions, we come across detours. Sometimes we get a detour instruction sent to us by Hoka Hey and sometimes we are the first ones to find the road blockage. In that case, we may have to wait for them to create one or figure one out ourselves, forward and await approval. They work the phones 24/7 so we can always get help quickly.
Floods and downed trees were spread far and wide in the northern route.

Patience builders were plentiful on this year's 11,000 mile ride!

I love traveling across bridges, especially historical covered Bridges! This one was built in 1887 in Langley MI.

Riding 18 to 20 hours a day doesn't leave much time for a hot meal. For this year's challenge and long distance rides, I switched my food heating method to a pluggable thermos. It was more compact and simpler to boil my water. It took about the same amount of time. I'm sold on this method for sure. It also is an extra water storage throughout the day.
