Offering immersive birdwatching tours in Colombia. 🌿 Join me on an unforgettable tour! My passion to capture moments began when I first saw a black and white photograph. I still remember that moment vividly! I lived in a small village in Colombia and that was the coolest thing that I had ever seen - I actually thought it was a painting! Time passed and in 2007 I decided to create my first website

that showed the beauty of my state through photography. Ever since I have been trying to capture every moment that I can from Patagonia, Argentina to Minneapolis, Minnesota. But life is a continuous challenge and in 2019 I was in a terrible car accident and I had a concussion that changed my life forever. This condition took me away from computers, cellphones, and any screen devices. My camera and nature were my only escapes to avoid headaches, depression, and anxiety. This is how I started falling deep in love with photography, capturing moments in nature and my friends' and client’s lives. Always see the bright side of life!

You usually see birds on my feed 🐦 but this one has been on my list forever.

The spectacled bear, the only bear in South America. I grew up hearing stories about them from my country and the communities here, peaceful encounters passed down for generations. That’s what made me want to film them.

It was NOT easy. Two days is not enough. Up at 3am every morning just to be ready before sunrise. I couldn’t get as close as I dreamed. I shot this on an 800mm lens with a 1.4 converter and he was still far away, but this was the closest he let me be. And honestly? That felt right. 🐻

Watching this bluebird build its nest, lay eggs, and raise its chicks has been one of the most beautiful experiences in my birding life.

I kept these videos for almost a year, mostly to show my kids.
Now it’s time to share them.

This year has felt loud.
A lot happening in Minneapolis. Flooding back home in Córdoba. Trying to support both places while staying focused hasn’t been easy. But every time I step outside and watch birds, things get quiet again.
That’s why I keep doing this.

You usually see photos and videos of beautiful birds on this page. Today is different.

Today, I’m sharing my home state — Córdoba, Colombia.

I grew up walking these fields, and even though I left many years ago, my heart has always remained there. Through my work as a wildlife and conservation photographer, I’ve spent years working directly with these communities, helping families support themselves through birdwatching and conservation.

Right now, severe flooding has left thousands of families without homes, food, or clean water. Many have lost everything they built over a lifetime.

I’ve started a GoFundMe, and I will personally send the funds to Colombia to help families in urgent need. I’ll share updates as the donations are used.

If you can donate, thank you.
If not, sharing this post also helps.

Boreal Owls are disappearing. 🦉
In the past 20 years, habitat loss has caused population declines in regions like Finland, Sweden, and parts of the U.S. These owls rely on old-growth forests for nesting, but deforestation and declining prey threaten their future.

Protecting their habitat is crucial!
