NFL Draft Week in Pittsburgh continued with a powerful and purposeful afternoon at the OMBI Group NFL Draft Luncheon, hosted by Attorney Kimberly K. Haynes at Ritual House.

The room was filled with insight, leadership, and experience as former Pittsburgh Steelers standout Will Allen, Traci Bransford, NFL Players Mom’s Association President Chris Johnson, and Stacy Elliott joined parents of current NFL Draft prospects for honest and candid conversations.

The focus of the forum went far beyond football, centering on fiscal literacy, financial responsibility, and building a foundation for long-term success. It was a reminder that draft night may change lives overnight, but wise decisions and strong guidance shape futures for years to come.

OMBI Group, LLC continues to set the standard as a premier firm serving athletes, entertainers, and executives worldwide. Since its founding in 2004, the company has remained committed to helping clients navigate business, career, and financial opportunities with purpose and preparation.

An outstanding event filled with wisdom, strategy, and meaningful conversation during one of Pittsburgh’s biggest weeks.

A special thank you goes out to Ritual House Pittsburgh for being incredible hosts, Chase Bank, Tito’s Vodka, Howden, and Law firm Parker and Poe for sponsoring this event.

NFL Draft Week in Pittsburgh continued tonight with an incredible Steel in Motion event hosted by the Will Allen Foundation.

Hosted by former Pittsburgh Steeler and Ohio State Buckeye Will Allen, the evening featured a powerful panel discussion with Ryan Shazier and Mel Blount.

Each shared their journey to the NFL, what led them to the City of Pittsburgh, and the impact this city has had on their lives. Their stories were filled with perseverance, purpose, and gratitude.

Local dignitaries in attendance included Corey O’Connor, Austin Davis, and Dan Rooney III.

The room was filled with fellowship, laughter, and a strong reminder that true success is measured by how you give back. Pittsburgh has embraced these men, and in return, they continue to pour into the city and its future.

The Will Allen Foundation is committed to equipping students from under-resourced neighborhoods with the tools they need to navigate an ever-evolving future. As tech advances at lightning speed and the world becomes more interconnected, their goal is to ensure that students are not only prepared for the challenges ahead but are also empowered to thrive in an unpredictable landscape through exposure to STEM fields such as robotics and AI, life skill development and a broadened perspective.

What an incredible way to kick off NFL Draft Week in Pittsburgh. The 2026 Mel Blount All-Star Celebrity Roast was a night to remember.
From Super Bowl Champions to hometown favorites and local celebrities, the stars were truly out, but the biggest spotlight belonged to this year’s honoree, Charlie Batch.
Charlie, alongside his wife LaTasha Batch, continues to make a lasting impact through the Best of the Batch Foundation. Founded in 1999, the foundation was created to give back to Charlie’s hometown of Homestead, Pennsylvania and has grown into a life-changing resource for families across Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Today, the foundation offers more than 12 programs for school-aged children, serving over 4,000 children and their families annually across 9 counties.
A night filled with laughter, legends, and purpose, celebrating not only football greatness, but the kind of leadership that changes communities.

Some days I don’t want it easy.

That’s when I reach for the SMC Asahi Pentax 50mm f/1.4 lens.

No autofocus. No shortcuts. Just me, the light, and the discipline to get it right the “old way.” Manual focus forces you to slow down, to actually see the frame instead of chasing it. And when you nail it… it hits different.

The rendering on this glass is something modern lenses still try to replicate, soft where it should be, sharp where it matters, and full of character you just can’t fake.

There’s something about legacy lenses that makes photography feel honest again. No crutches. Just craft.

And that’s exactly why I go back to it now and again.

Last night’s Draft Talk with Mel Blount and Friends at the LeMont Restaurant benefiting the was a fantastic evening filled with great stories, plenty of laughs, and a reminder of what makes Pittsburgh football so special.

It was an honor hearing from Steelers greats Mel Blount, JT Thomas, John Banaszak, Dwayne Woodruff, and Will Allen. Each of them shared their personal journeys to the NFL, stories filled with grit, humor, and lessons that went far beyond football.

What made the night even better was the interaction. Fans and sponsors had the chance to ask questions, hear behind-the-scenes moments from their careers, and connect with these legends in a way you don’t often get.

And of course, Bob Pompeani kept the entire evening moving with the professionalism and charm that has made him one of Pittsburgh’s best.

A great night celebrating football, perseverance, and the people who helped build the legacy of the Steelers.

It’s truly and honor to to call these men friends!
