I originally took this photo because I loved the texture of the painting at the Brewster Inn in Cazenovia. The colors, the age, the feeling of history in the walls—it just caught my eye.
But when I looked at the image later, something else stood out.
It almost feels like the people in the painting are looking at the ring. Like they paused for a moment to witness something that has been happening in rooms like this for generations.
Two hands, a quiet yes, and a promise that will outlive the moment.
Sometimes the smallest moments feel like they belong to history.
