Such an honor taking these photos for Seven Weeks Coffee.

I’ve always known without a doubt that God is the creator of life. Who with more intention and love than we could ever imagine knits us together in our mother’s womb. He knows our names far before two pink lines ever even appear on that little test.

Honestly though, it wasn’t until I saw my 5 week babies heart beat on an ultrasound that my heart was completely broken. Broken for the women who have been lied to or left feeling like they only had one heartbreaking option. Broken for the precious, innocent babies who feel a pain they never deserved. Broken for the author of life that weeps for everyone mother and baby that goes through this.

That is why I’m choosing Seven Weeks Coffee. It won’t change the world but maybe just maybe it will save one baby’s life.

Two years ago Kelsey Hendrix asked me to take their family photos & I was NERVOUS! I was obsessed with taking photos since I was little & took pictures for my close friends & family… but this was the first time I got the question, “what do you charge?” ahead of time instead of just hoping maybe they would offer to pay at the end. Hahah😂 I was so nervous I wanted to back out, but instead I prepared & memorized a shot list and prompts, practiced adjusting my camera settings in all kinds of light, & attempted to deliver the most professional gallery I could! I remember praying before the session that more than anything, I wanted to document this moment in time so they would able to look back on these pictures for the years to come & that they would smile & thank God for giving them this season, this life & all the answered prayers that led them to this moment with their cute little family. I posted that session and from that I booked five more and from those it continued on until it became more than just a side hobby but a business!! And now here we are two years later & a lot has changed - the booking process, camera upgrades, pricing increases, building my dream studio, 150+ sessions, seeing God turn my love for people and documenting into a career, but one thing has stayed the same…. I still pray the same prayer for every single person that steps in front of my camera.
