Alright friends. Time to share some kittens and help me find them homes!
Meet Honey Badger!
Honey Badger was rescued at 2-3 weeks old by the amazing Kim who pulled him and his sister, Possum, out from under a trailer, stuck in the insulation. These babies were tiny and so severely sick with URIs, I honestly had zero hope for them when they arrived. They were badly sugar crashed, caked with boogers, labored breathing, lethargic, and low temps. Lisa and Jill worked on them at our shelter all day, and they were transported to me that evening for oxygen and antibiotics. Sweet little Possum died a few hours after their arrival to my home despite all of our efforts, but after weeks of antibiotics, oxygen, and incubator care, Badger has turned into a big, goofy now 5 month old kitten who is full of life and is finally ready for a forever home.
Because of his rough start, Badger does flare with upper respiratory gunk on and off. As he gets older and his immune system becomes more mature, this should get better. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and is FeLV/FIV negative. He needs a home with another vaccinated kitten or cat to play with. He plays especially well with Hoppy, another of our foster kittens, and I'll share her photos in the next few days too as I work on them. He'd love to be adopted with her! He would do fine with a friendly dog and/or older kids, but probably not a great match for a home with toddlers. He's an absolute sweetheart, but he does tend to get himself stuck in high places and regularly needs help getting down - he will cry to let you know he's stuck π he plays hard, loves hard, and purrs hard! β€οΈ
