Wyoming & Utah
October 19-31, 2025

The final stop before Sean's family left was to visit Devil's Tower in Wyoming. We hiked around the base while watching rock climbers work their way up to camp on top.
We stopped for a few days camping at Glendo State Park in Wyoming, followed by a few at Bear Lake in Utah. Tyler spent as much time as possible with a reel in hand, rain or shine.
We stopped in Syracuse, Utah for Kaitlin's birthday and Halloween. The highlight of trick-or-treat was a full-sized potato, Tylers favorite treat of the night.
We also had a fun family photoshoot with our pumpkins!

Deadwood, Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore
October 17-19, 2025

The group decided to have some fun and get old-timey photos in Deadwood, South Dakota.
We drove the infamous Needles Highway in Custer State Park- which is definitely a unique experience in an F-450.
Our final stop was Mount Rushmore at sunset.

Badlands National Park
October 11-16, 2025

Our next stop took us down to Badlands National Park in South Dakota. For this stop we were joined by Sean's parents and Grandmother who flew in for to visit for about a week.
During this stop we camped along "The Wall," a fantastic boondocking spot overlooking the Badlands, where Kaitlin had a great yoga spot.
Tyler also was in a cooking class through school and made dinner for the family!

Montana & North Dakota
Sept 25-Oct 9 2025

Our journey southward(ish) took us to Montana and North Dakota first. We had several great experiences along the way- Tyler got to milk goats and feed the farm animals at a Harvest Host in Montana, and we visited several National Parks and historical sites.

Kenai Peninsula, Alaska
August 29 - September 5, 2025

Our final week in Alaska was spent primarily camping near Seward. We found a boondocking space near a lake and enjoyed some time fishing, watching seaplanes come in and out, and witnessing unique aquatic vehicles head out into the water.

Soldotna & Kenai, Alaska
August 9-12, 2025

We spent a few days in Kenai with an amazing view from our RV overlooking the Kenai River & Cook Inlet.
Tyler and Sean were able to get in on the fun during the Salmon Run, and we spent a couple hours picking fresh berries from a farm in Soldotna.

Seward, Alaska
August 3rd & 4th, 2025

The next adventure consisted of a fishing trip near Seward. We each caught our limits of halibut and rock fish, caught several salmon, and Tyler even pulled in a good sized Lingcod!
Tyler also started school (remote) while we were in Alaska, kicking off 3rd grade!

Harding Icefield Trail
August 2nd, 2025

Sean decided to tackle a large hike today- 8.2 miles, 3200 foot elevation gain, with some sections in the ice & snow.
Starting at 7:00 AM, only a couple other hikers were gearing up to go. The first couple miles were rainy and slippery, but eventually the rain stopped, giving way to fantastic views.
After getting to the ice and snow, Sean made friends with a few other hikers as the going was slow and slippery. 4.5 hours after starting, we finally reached the shelter at the top.
The views and sounds of the icefield were amazing.
Going down on the ice made for a challenge, and by noon the crowds on the lower portion of the trail were pretty thick. Sean finished the hike after about 7 hours- and then spent 3 weeks feeling it.

Kenai Fjords National Park & Seward
August 1st, 2025

For Kitt's birthday we went on a boat trip to Kenai Fjords National Park. We saw a ton of marine life- and topped it off with a spectacular show from the humpback wales as they breached several times.
Back in Seward Tyler had his first experience with fresh oysters- jury is still out.
Special thanks to Seward Ocean Excursions for the amazing tour.

Seward, Alaska
July, 2025

For our first few days in Seward we mostly stuck to short day trips since Sean was working. A few hikes out to the bayfront, visited Exit Glacier, and a bit of fishing near town.
