A still lake. A cedar canoe. And a moment you don’t pose.

Out on Pearl Lake, the world got quiet. Just the sound of the paddle in the water and the occasional laugh between them.

At one point, he reached over and gently tucked her hair behind her ear — no prompt, no cue. Just love, quiet and simple.

The cedar canoe caught the golden light like a dream, and everything felt timeless.

Pearl Lake gave us everything: still waters, golden light, and the most stylish trio I’ve ever photographed. These two brought their dog along for the engagement session — and yes, their outfits were coordinated Perfectly to match their pup.
