The spring and summer have been filled with so many beautiful portrait sessions and events; it’s been hard to keep up! I’m so thrilled to share these family portraits from Madison and Ethan’s sweet session last week.

There is no greater privilege for me than documenting a family as they grow, and Madison and Ethan hold a very special place in my heart. Documenting their pregnancy with Savannah, their oldest, then their wedding, and subsequent family portrait sessions, the love and kindness they center in their parenting and relationship with each other is evident in every interaction.

Sessions like these are my heart and soul. Nothing makes me happier than photographing kids and their parents in all the joy and chaos. Freezing these moments that will be gone far too soon.

I photographed the sweetest little anniversary session recently and just had to share a few of my favorites.

Pete and Susan were married 10 years ago in a small ceremony in the UK. As so many folks opt for when they elope, they did not have professional photos taken, and wanted to celebrate this milestone anniversary by documenting their life here in Virginia.

The quiet comfort of these two was so lovely to witness, and the ability to include their lovely home and favorite spots around town made this session all the more special.
