Iโ€™ve gained quite a few new followers over the last few weeks, so I figured it was time to properly reintroduce myself โ™ก
Hi, Iโ€™m Sabrina-- the heart behind Wanderlust Photography.

Outside of photography, Iโ€™m a history-loving, mickey ear wearing, book-writing mama of three with a deep appreciation for storytelling in all its forms.
Iโ€™ve owned and operated Wanderlust for over 8 years now, but my love for photography started long before that. My husband bought me my first professional camera as an engagement gift and I've been going at it since!

As a little girl, every Christmas I begged my mama for a camera. She always made sure one showed up under the tree, usually a little Nikon Coolpix or one of those old Kodak film cameras (which definitely dates me a bit ๐Ÿ˜…). I carried those cameras everywhere and turned just about every friend or family member into my unwilling model. Somewhere between those blurry childhood portraits and countless photo albums, I realized this wasnโ€™t just a hobby for me... it was something I was meant to do.

Now for the sentimental part โ™ก
Growing up, I lost several family members at a young age. Iโ€™d hear beautiful stories about who they were, but it never quite felt like enough. I found myself constantly flipping through old photo albums, studying every little detail โ€” the way they smiled, the clothes they wore, the way they held the people they loved. Photographs became more than pictures to me. They became proof that someone was here. Proof that they loved, laughed, existed.

Thatโ€™s why I believe photography matters so deeply.

Photos freeze the moments we donโ€™t realize weโ€™ll someday miss. Long after weโ€™re gone, they allow future generations to know us โ€” not just through stories, but through tangible memories. Through expressions, embraces, tiny details, and real emotion.

That philosophy carries into every session I photograph.

My style is rooted in authenticity and connection. Of course Iโ€™ll guide you with poses when needed, but the real magic happens in between โ€” the laughter, the chaos, the quiet moments, the way your child reaches for your hand without thinking. Those are the memories that matter most to me. Those are the moments worth preserving.
So whether youโ€™ve been here for years or youโ€™re brand new โ€” welcome. Iโ€™m truly so glad youโ€™re here โ™ก
