I never intended to be a photographer. What started as a hobby to capture my kiddos growing up, quickly became ten of greatest years of my life. I can't fully express how astounded I am when I look back through the last decade on my website. I have met some of the most interesting and beautiful people (inside and out), a couple of quacks, and some of my dearest friends. I have shed tears of joy and sadness with clients. I have been the first call when there have been two lines, the first to meet a new addition, and the last one to capture memories with dearly loved before they pass. I have trained with some of the best photographers in the world and received advice from some of the smartest people I've ever met. I have cried many nights overwhelmed with work and yet so insanely excited to be so sought after for that work. I have missed family weddings, kids ball games and countless weekends in pursuit of everlasting memories. AND I LOVED EVERY SECOND. I wouldn't change one thing about this journey. I spent my entire 30's as KPP and it was good. In November of last year, I was given the opportunity to join our company Southern Scapes Nursery, in an official capacity. I decided that was the next journey for me. I tried for several months to do both but by June of 2022, I knew I needed to cut back on photography. I began praying for someone who could move into my space and pick up where I left off. By July, I knew who I wanted, could trust and holy wowzers, is talented. Madison returned home after graduating from UGA to pursue her masters at GSU, all while growing a successful photography business and she was my first and only choice. She has spent the last 4 months learning newborn photography, work flow and developing her skillset. I am beyond proud to be turning my studio over to her. I fully trust she will do great things in her career and for her clients. Thank you Statesboro for a spectacular 10+ years. Thank you Brian for being the best support system. I know the next 10 years will be just as amazing where ever I am because, great is His faithfulness.
