🥹 ONE YEAR. FULL-TIME. DOING THE THING.

Somehow, I’ve officially been running my photography business full-time for a YEAR. And honestly? I don’t think I could ever fully explain how much that means to me.

This past year has been a mix of the best days, the busiest days, a whole lot of editing, learning as I go, and figuring out what it looks like to build something of my own. Getting to do this for a living is something I’m so grateful for, and YOU are a huge part of why I get to keep doing it. 🤍

I’ve been listening to a spooky audiobook while I am working. Definitely helps keep me on task. I feel like I haven’t had time to do any fun Halloween seasonal activities so this is really putting me in the spooky season mood.

I am TIRED. My plate is SOO FULL. I have thousands of photos to edit. If you’re waiting for pictures, please be patient. This is the busiest month I’ve ever had. I’m so thankful. And I am working as quickly as possibly to send out albums. But I won’t cut corners or do poor edits. It will be worth it, promise.

I spent my birthday weekend working my dream job. I’m going to get some sleep, then lock in for edits first thing tomorrow.

Embrace the chaos. 🤎

Family photos don’t have to mean perfectly posed kids, everyone looking at the camera, and not a single hair out of place.

Having pictures taken with me should be a fun memory you make WITH your kids, not something you spend the whole time trying to control.

Let them run. Let them be silly. Let them laugh. Let them explore. Pick them up, chase them around, snuggle them close, and let them be exactly who they are.

Because there’s room for it all.

The posed picture. The belly laughs. The blurry running photo. The little moments in between. The chaos.

Years from now, you may not remember whether everyone smiled perfectly for the camera, but you’ll remember how little they were, how they laughed, and how much fun you had together.

That’s what I want your family session to feel like.
