Over the past couple of weeks I have sat in the woods and started taking my Sunday drives again. Here are a few of my captures of God's amazing creations.

I was asked last winter to do family pictures for my friend Tara, her mom, sister and well the whole family. Sadly the snow did not cooperate for us. So instead we had beautiful farm land with amazing flowers and views in late summer, early fall. The sweetest family ever to take photos of!

Boy it has been a long time since I have shot any sports pictures. Thankfully I have 2 up and coming great athletes to photograph. Jocelyn in volleyball and TJ in football, I wish life would slow down so I could make it to more of their games! Anyway, here are a couple from Thursday night to share.

This is the first spring/summer that I have not been driving between eagles nests. Sadly, the nests that I follow did not have successful hatches. So this weekend I took my camera to my folks to take some pictures of the swans with their babies, and a couple of barn swallows. Happy 4th of July to all!

On my little drive around the beautiful area I live I saw a few eagles, 4 total. This is 1 of them while her mate was in the tree resting. This pair has started nesterization, cleaning and prepping the nest for egg time. In these pictures you see the female eagle bringing in a stick, then placing the stick where she wants it, then moving another stick and getting it stuck and the look of frustration when the bu**er won't move. These pictures are not as clear as I would like, it is windy and I was shivering.

Today was a special day! Today my dad text me that he had a pair of eagles in a field at the farm. I drove out whipped the camera out, apparently they were camera shy so they flew off. After having dinner with my grandfather, dad, and step mom they came back. This time they flew to a tree then flew up into the sky and did the circle flying that I believe is preparation for mating season. They were so high in the sky, but I could still hear the chatter between the two of them. I then went out to hit the hot spots and was blessed with another pair perched in a tree. I drove down and waited for them to land on their future dinner source. Not long after they both flew and and feasted. On my way home as it was getting dark I saw two sitting by their nest, also a good sign that soon we should be having some egg incubation happening. So today 3 pairs of mating eagles! What an amazing blessing!

Today I was able to take my Sunday drive around our beautiful county. I saw eagles, a hawk, and pheasants. There is a farmer that places deer that have been hit by cars out for the eagles, saw 2 there. I then headed out in to a location where I had been told were "some" pheasants...a TON of them. Then on my way home saw a juvenile red tailed hawk. Hope ya'll had a blessed weekend!

The past couple of weekends I have been able to do some birding. This is my LOVE!!! Being able to be out in the great outdoors and seeing new places!!! That is until you are going up an icy hill and your vehicle decides it does not want to make it to the stop sign...talk about an increase in heart rate! In an area close to an hour away from anyone that can help me...after throwing the car in reverse and making a few attempts up the hill I finally made it to the stop sign and decided it was time to go home...well maybe not one more trip around the block. So glad I did, saw a male snow owl. So the owl and eagle eating off a carcus were from today and the falcon, hawk, and juvenile eagle are from last weekend.

While out driving around today I came to a lake that had a hand full of eagles in trees surrounding it. I was only able to get pictures of 3 of them, not great quality as they were a bit out of range for me. Of course when I turned to take pictures of the ducks and swans one flew off and I only caught a portion of they flight. All 3 are different ages, none of them are fully matured adults yet.
