We danced, ran & twirled around downtown Essex with this sweet engagement session ♡. Felt like I was in an episode of Gilmore Girls & Basil was always ready for her moment when it was her time to shine 😂.

I offer complimentary engagement sessions in all my wedding & even elopement packages. I try to stress to my clients the importance of taking advantage of this! You not only get some amazing photos back but it also helps me prep for your wedding day. This gives me a chance to learn my couples and what works for them posing wise, what gets them to loosen up, and of course a chance to connect with them!

My wedding books are closed for 2026 but I am booking 2027 ♡

Hi, I’m Kayla ♡

For those who are new here , and those who have been around for a while, I thought it was time to reintroduce myself!

I’m the heart behind Kayla Rose Photography, a New England photographer drawn to honest connection, beautiful light, and all the little in between moments that make a story yours.

In a world so full of chaos I think everyone deserves to romanticize their lives. To slow down & truly take in the little moments. I don’t want to just photograph pretty pictures, I want to photograph those who want their photos to feel like them.

My approach is a little cinematic, a little nostalgic, and deeply rooted in connection. I’ll guide you when you need it, give you space when you don’t, and probably tell you at least once to forget I’m even there.

Because years from now, I don’t just want you to remember what this season looked like.

I want you to remember how it felt.

Some love stories deserve blue skies.

Others are written in the middle of a summer rainstorm.

A rooftop overlooking NYC, flowers filling the room, family waiting just around the corner, champagne beneath a clear umbrella, and two people who would’ve said “yes” no matter what the weather decided.

The rain didn’t take away from this moment.

It became part of it. Here’s to the moments that aren’t perfect, they’re simply real. 🤍

Maybe it’s the way the waves soften every conversation. The way the horizon makes the rest of the world disappear. Or maybe it’s because the sea reminds us that the most beautiful things are never perfectly still.

There’s something about the moments between full sun and golden hour that always feel the most honest, it’s turned into one of my favorite times to shoot. It’s something about that change of light that takes you through time and brings lights, shadows and mood to the scene that emphasizes the storytelling aspect. ♡

If I had a dollar for everytime one of my couples came to their shoot and said “we’ve never done this before, we are going to be so awkward” then proceed to blow me away…I’d be a millionaire. Joelle’s & Brandon’s energy was contagious and we laughed & danced our way through Harkness Park 🤍 I cannot wait for their winter wedding!
