A Little Life & Business Update 🤍

I wanted to share a little update with everyone, especially those patiently waiting on their galleries!

Between returning from Greece, trying to catch up on editing, and preparing for our big upcoming bridal expo, life has been a little crazy lately! And of course, life decided to throw another curveball my way.

As some of you know, I recently injured my wrist, and unfortunately, it’s turning out to be a little more complicated than I had hoped.

I just got back from my orthopedic appointment, and the next step is an MRI to determine the extent of the injury and whether surgery will be necessary.

As you can imagine, having an injured wrist ( and of course it’s the right wrist) as a photographer makes editing a bit more challenging! Between keeping up with sessions, preparing everything for the bridal expo, and trying to catch up on galleries, I’ve definitely had a lot on my plate.

Please know your photos have not been forgotten! 🤍 I’m still working behind the scenes and doing everything I can, but things are moving a little slower than my usual pace. I never want to rush through anyone’s memories just to get a gallery out the door.

I truly appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and grace as I navigate all of this. I’m incredibly grateful for every single one of you who continues to support Simply Captured Photography, even when life gets a little chaotic!

And a little shoutout to my amazing hubby for picking up the slack at home & keeping things running, and getting the boys to basketball while I’ve been juggling everything. I know it’s been a lot lately, and I appreciate you more than you know! ❤️

Oh, what an emotional wedding day this was! 🥹❤️ So many beautiful moments, happy tears, and memories that I feel so lucky to have captured.

Life Update #2… because apparently we needed a little more chaos! 🤦‍♀️❤️

As if everything going on with my little guy wasn’t enough, I ended up in urgent care myself this morning after getting bit by our dog while trying to help him get unstuck 🐾

And of course he managed to bite me right where I have an old broken bone that never healed correctly. Oh, and did I mention it’s my RIGHT hand?! You know, the one I use for literally everything… especially photography and editing! 😩📸

I’m now in a brace, and unfortunately, the pain and swelling are making it pretty difficult to work.

I’ve been trying my best to keep up with everything between my little guy’s injury, sessions, editing, emails, and messages, but I think my body might finally be telling me to slow down.

I may need to take a day or two away from editing and give my hand some time to rest.

To my wonderful clients: Please know I see your messages and emails! I’m not ignoring anyone, and I’m doing everything I can to stay on top of things. There just may be a little delay while we get through all of this.

Thank you all for being so patient and understanding with me and my family. It truly means more than you know! ❤️

At this point, I’m thinking the rest of October needs to be wrapped in bubble wrap -or at least my family 🤣

A little life update 🤍

Our kiddo had an accident and unfortunately ended up with a broken elbow and a shoulder injury. We’ve gotten some mixed opinions on the extent of his injuries, so we’ll be heading back to the doctor next week for more answers and to figure out our next steps. 🥺❤️

Even in the middle of the appointment /X-rays and the uncertainty, he's still finding little reasons to smile, and I'm soaking up every extra cuddle I can get.🥹🤍

Right now, my mama heart is focused on keeping him comfortable, giving him all the extra love and cuddles, and making sure he’s okay. 💔

I promise, I see your messages and emails! I’m just taking a little time to be present with my little guy while also juggling two photo sessions this weekend and continuing to catch up on editing galleries.

I’m hoping to start getting back to everyone on Monday! Thank you so much for your patience, understanding, and grace as I balance being a mama and running my business.

For now, we're taking things one day at a time, keeping him comfortable, and hoping for some good news and a clearer plan next week. 🤍
